E-Government IT, Evolution or Leading to E-Democracy and Revolution?
E-Government IT, Evolution or Leading to E-Democracy and Revolution?
By Lance Winslow
Most humans do not think very much and it is said that only 2% of the current populations thinks a lot and uses their brains. Just like house pets which do not have to hunt for food lose their cranial capacity over generations humans will too. De-evolution is real. In the future you will be required to think less, because we will develop Artificially Intelligent machines to think for you.
IT, what is &ldquoIT&rdquo and why should you care? &ldquoIT is&rdquo and it is the future of E-Government and the evolution of computers and machines, which will lead to E-Democracy for the eCitizen being you of course.
Will this lead to a complete eGovernment Revolution? Yes. Will the eCitizen choose to rebel in a revolution? No, resistance is futile as they say. You will know when problems reach a critical point, as always you can tell when a government, any government, even an eGovernment is in trouble. This happens when the people or eCitizens start to complain and the government says it is just because they do not understand.
If the government becomes an E-Government and some how gets out of control can it can be brought down or drown in the bathtub, as someone once said? Chances are the answer is yes. If so how can an eGovernment system protect itself against attack so it can do its job of eGovernance properly to serve the people?
Well it will need to be net-centric in nature with unlimited redundancy and virtual storage. If eCitizen uprisings or hackers attack the IT system sporadically this is not such an issue, as it would be localized in nature. Organized attacks on an e-Government system will become a tactic of enemy nation states, as well as civil uprising and that should be noted for future safety of said system. Too 1984 for you?
Well, if the government collapses, whether it is electronic or human everyone in the civilization or human society is indeed at risk and in danger of extreme peril. I think Carl von Clausewitz might agree were he alive today. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
