The internet is a dynamic place. Even the way viruses spread has changed. They used to be spread by floppy disks. Usually not too much damage was done because anti-virus software would locate and destroy the virus. Not today!
Today, viruses seem as if they take on a life of their own. They infiltrate via multiple points of entry. The computers today don t even have floppy capability.
Viruses now permeate systems through e-mail attachments, file sharing, software downloads, instant messaging and through e-mail itself.
Despite the withering attacks on your computer, there are ways to protect yourself. Fortunately, antivirus software has kept pace with current virus threats. It s good to know we aren t losing ground to those schemers.
Antivirus programs are essential to the frontline defense of your computer. It s crucial for you to keep your computer updated. Current updates enable your computer to protect itself and fend off viruses.
